ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. - Women's Wrestling will participate in a historic meet on Thursday night, hosting their first-ever home meet against the Alma Scots in Garth Pleasant Arena at 6 p.m. After the program achieved its first tournament placement in history at the Albion Invitational, the wrestlers will seek their first match wins in front of a home crowd.
In its second year, the program has had a few milestone moments to get things going, including its first match win last season. Rochester will look for its first win in a dual during the event.
COACH'S CORNER
Head Coach Wesley Maskill had this to say on the historic day for the program:
"Hosting the program's first-ever dual in Garth Pleasant Arena is an honor. Five short years ago, the men's program opened up their program's first-ever dual, and we are at 30+ men. I'm looking forward to the future of this women's program."
