FIRST HALF

Kendal Zeiter got the Warriors on the board first with an opening possession layup, as RCU opened with a 7-2 lead with Ashley Loon hitting a three-pointer and Samone Andrews making a layup. After SHU tied the game, the teams started scoring back and forth, with Jacey Somers, Shahid Bakkar, and Tambre Williams all contributing to the scoring. A second three-pointer from Loon at the buzzer brought RCU within a point.

The Saints opened with eight of the first 11 points in the second quarter, with Samone Andrews hitting her first three of the game. Following a four-minute scoring drought, Lucy Freytag broke the SHU run with a three of her own as well, and Tambre Williams made a pair of layups to once again get the Warriors to within a point.

SECOND HALF

The Warrior offense woke up in the third quarter, putting up 19 points, which included a 10-3 run to start the half, with Ashley Loon hitting a pair of threes. The Saints were able to retie the game at 39 points apiece before Jacey Somers scored the final five RCU points to hold a five-point lead at the quarter break.

Shahd Bakkar scored the opening points of the final period with a layup. Both defenses would start to step up as teams went two-and-a-half minutes before a Kendal Zeiter layup broke the drought. Samone Andrews was able to aid the Warrior, scoring as time was running out on the Saints. Andrews, along with Zeiter and Ashley Loon, were able to keep the Saints at bay in the final minutes.
