MEN'S WRESTLING HOSTS RED-OUT AGAINST #RV LOURDES
Men’s Wrestling is set to take on #RV Lourdes (1-0) for its first WHAC dual of the season at Garth Pleasant Arena at 7 p.m. Rochester, fresh off competing in the Trine Invitational, will look to put itself ahead in what could be a preview of several key WHAC Tournament matchups.
ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. - Men's Wrestling is set to take on #RV Lourdes (1-0) for its first WHAC dual of the season at Garth Pleasant Arena at 7 p.m. Rochester, fresh off competing in the Trine Invitational, will look to put itself ahead in what could be a preview of several key WHAC Tournament matchups. Fans attending are asked to dress in all red attire.
The Gray Wolves have been on the up since last season, with sophomore Nick Rodriguez coming into this year as the reigning WHAC Newcomer of the Year. In the 125 lb. weight class, Rodriguez has continued the strong start to his collegiate career, winning his weight class at the Pepsi Patriot Open and earning a win by technical fall in the Gray Wolves' most recent matchup against Siena Heights.
The Gray Wolves had a solid showing in their first WHAC matchup, trouncing Siena Heights 45-6. Last year, the Warriors and Gray Wolves competed in a thriller that saw Lourdes take a 25-24 match victory at the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center. Rochester will look to come out victorious in this year's edition of the matchup.
