Men's Basketball earns 20th win, taking down the Blue Devils
(Rochester Hills, MI) - The Rochester Christian men's basketball team finished up its home regular-season schedule against the invading Blue Devils from Lawrence Tech. The Warriors would see solid offense output over the two halves, putting up 51 and 44 points, enroute to the 23-point win. The Warriors win their 20th game of the season, the 10th time in Head Coach Klint Pleasant's career.
FIRST HALF
Darnell Turner Jr. got the scoring started right away with the first four RCU points. The Blue Devils used a pair of three-pointers to jump out to a 15-9 lead before the score flipped right back in RCU's favor. Linden Holder added five points, and Tyler Allen hit a three to retake the lead. James Fisher added a bucket, and Dustin Farrow added a pair to even the game at 23 at the midway point.
Coming out of the media timeout, Tymias Williams and Dustin Farrow combined for the next 10 RCU points over the next 5:26. Tyler Allen would then go on a run with the next six points with an "and-1" and a three-pointer. The Warriors tallied the final 13 points in the half, earning a 14-point lead.
SECOND HALF
RCU opened the second 20 minutes with a 14-9 run, with Tymias Williams tacking on 10 points, including finishing off an alley-oop from Linden Holder. LTU added a couple of consecutive threes as they attempted to stay close in the game, but buckets from Jamil Mashhour and Dustin Farrow kept the game at arm's length.
Darnell Turner Jr., Tyler Allen, and James Fisher would each knock down a pair of free throws, building the lead back to 15 points, with Tymias Williams pushing the lead out to 20 with a free-throw line jumper. Linden Holder and Turner Jr. continued to add points with back-to-back three-pointers, before the Warriors would empty the bench for the final 1:15.
TOP PERFORMERS
Tymias Williams led the way offensively with 25 points, while James Fisher, Tyler Allen, Linden Holder, Darnell Turner Jr., and Dustin Farrow all tallied double figures in points. Linden Holder recorded a game-high nine assists in the game.
Tyler Allen led the team in rebounding with eight rebounds, while Tymias Williams and Linden Holder both brought down five. Darnell Turner Jr. and Williams tallied four and three steals, respectively.

The Warriors will close out the regular season on the road, heading to the Madonna Crusaders on Saturday, February 21, at 3 PM.
