GRAND RAPIDS, MI - Warrior Cross Country will compete on Nov. 3 in the WHAC Championships, with several NAIA National Qualifier bids at stake for the Warriors. After a solid season that saw several records and personal bests set for the program, Rochester will look to bring nothing but its best on Friday afternoon.
The Warriors have had plenty of positive things to reflect on for this year - the most notable being the program's performance at the Skipper Cross Country Invitational on Sept. 29, where both the men's and women's programs placed first. For the women's program, the event was the program's first-ever victory. Rochester had several strong performances during the event and also throughout the season.
The Warriors are also seeking to send multiple bids to NAIA Nationals. On the men's side, several contenders have emerged for bids after consistently strong performances all season, including Alec Shaw, Wyatt Emmons, and Bradley Baxter among others. The women's program will seek its first-ever National Qualifier during the event, with junior Heather Eller making a strong case for the bid after several team-leading performances in events this year.
Rochester will look to represent well during the event, and potentially accomplish things for the program never done before.
