Women's Wrestling's Yakuber places second at the Adrian Invite

(Adrian, MI) - The Rochester Christian women's wrestling team continued its season at the Adrian Invite on Sunday. The Warriors saw Anika Yakuber earn a second-place finish at the Invite. RCU as a team recorded a 12-26 record. 

Anika Yakuber led the way, placing second and earning a 4-1 record for the event. Yakuber won her first two matches by way of a tech fall before forcing a pair of falls in her next two matches. 

Tracey Kessler earned a 3-3 record, winning her first three matches of the event. Kessler won the three matches by way of a tech fall, a fall, and a decision, respectively. Kessler placed 6th in the event. 

Megan Melnyk earned a pair of wins for the event as well, both by way of a fall, while Aleah Swiey, Ayan Kelley, and London Crossley each also earned a win.

The Warriors will next hit the mat at the Albion Open on Sunday, November 16, at the Kresge Gymnasium in Albion, Michigan.
