Seven earn All-Academic honors in Track & Field
The vision of National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Champions of Character program is to change the culture of sports. The mission is to provide training to instill the values that build character so students, coaches and parents know, do and value the right thing both on and off the field. Student-athletes creating character-based teams provide a blueprint for team leadership, developing confident, tough-minded, and fearless competitors. The Champions of Character program helps participants find the balance by keeping the five core values – integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership – at the heart of the athletics experience. For more than a decade, Champions of Character has been making a difference in developing athletes, coaches and parents of character. The NAIA is committed to advancing character-driven athletes. Without further ado, Craig Feldman and Lacey Glass are this year's winners for Champions of Character award in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC). Feldman and Glass both demonstrated great character on and off the field this season.
After the running events ended at the WHAC championship the conference named the All-Academic Team, which saw seven team members make the list. Athletes named to the Academic Team were: Emily Bemis, Courtney Davis, Isabelle Dietz, Lacey Glass, Madeline Salem, Miranda Wolanin and Dominic Santina. Great work in the classroom!
Coach Wilson on the season, "I was very happy with how well the team progressed over the course of the whole year. Our seniors were main contributors and will be missed."
