Warriors Track & Field Start With a Bang at Golden Grizzly Invite
The Track and Field Warriors started the 23’ Outdoor Season with a bang. Coming off another record-setting and national-qualifying indoor season, the Warriors are equipped and ready to get at it again this Friday at Siena Heights University.
Rochester Hills, MI - The Track and Field Warriors started the 23' Outdoor Season with a bang. Coming off another record-setting and national-qualifying indoor season, the Warriors are equipped and ready to get at it again this Friday at Siena Heights University.
"It was super exciting to get a school record finally," Steeplechaser Heather Eller said. "Everyone ran fantastic races, and several school records were set; this program is undoubtedly changing."
Heather is the first women Warrior in Rochester University history to attempt the 3000m Steeplechase. Heather beat the odds and placed 8th in a loaded girls' heat.

This is only the beginning for the warriors. With five new school records shattered in the first meet, the Warriors are on an upward track to smash dozens this Outdoor season. Although a rust buster, the Warriors proved that nothing could stop them.
The Warriors will be shipped to Adrian, MI, to compete in the Don Kleinow Memorial Invitational hosted by Siena Heights University. The Warriors are ready to shock and show the world what the Warriors are about this Friday, April 14th. Field events begin at 11:00 AM, and running events begin at 2:30 PM.
