Women's Track & Field opens 2026 at the SVSU Classic

(Saginaw, MI) - The Rochester Christian women's track & field team returned to competition in 2026 as they headed up to Saginaw Valley for the SVSU Classic. The team finished with a pair of top-10 results as well as one personal best time. 

TRACK EVENTS

The track events saw three athletes running across three different events in the 60-meter dash, 800-meter run, and the mile run. 

The 60-meter dash saw Amanda Usrey finish in 25th place with a time of 10.33 seconds. 

The 800-meter run would see Aurora Jacobs hit a personal best time with a time of 2:38.71 and earn a 10th-place finish. 

The final track event had Mackenzie Montagano finish in 26th-place in the mile with a time of 5:54.87.

FIELD EVENTS

The field events for the Warriors consisted of Mackenzie Reese throwing in the shot put event. Reese finished with a mark of 9.79 meters and rounded out in 10th place.

The Warriors will next be back on the track at the Jeremy Croy Classic, hosted by Tiffin University, on Saturday, January 24.
