(Rochester Hills, MI) - The Rochester Christian women's soccer team played host to Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) opponent Lawrence Tech on Wednesday afternoon. The two teams battled to a 0-0 draw in the match over 90 minutes. The Warriors move their record to 5-4-4 overall and 1-1-4 in WHAC play, while the Blue Devils move to 4-4-3 overall and 3-2-1 in conference play.
Both teams played a tight first half, with both goalies having to make a pair of saves throughout the first 45 minutes. RCU would outshoot the Blue Devils 5-4 in the first half.
The second half was much of the same, with the two teams trading possessions. The RCU defense came up strong in the 76th and 77th minutes, fending off a trio of LTU corner kicks to keep the game even.
Brooklyn Perron (4-4-3) earned her third shutout of the season, playing the full 90 minutes in net, making seven saves.
