Women's Soccer draws with Cornerstone

(Grand Rapids, MI) - The Rochester Christian women's soccer team headed out to Cornerstone for a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) matchup on Wednesday evening, and they would wind up coming out with their third draw of the conference season. RCU moves to 5-4-3 overall and 1-1-3 in WHAC play, while the Golden Eagles are 2-6-3 overall and 1-2-2 in conference play.

Brooklyn Perron (4-4-2) earned the draw in the match, saving four of the five shots she faced throughout the 90 minutes of gameplay.

Both teams started trading possessions with Cornerstone netting the first goal of the game early on in the 7th minute. RCU had a couple of chances off corner kicks, but they did not amount to anything. Just before the half, Victoria Kebbe grabbed her first goal of the season off a pass from Aliana Perez to tie the game.

The final 45 minutes of play saw much of the same, with both teams having their own chances again. RCU had a couple of chances within the final 20 minutes, but were unable to grab the lead.
