Women's Soccer picks up 1-0 loss against Lourdes

(Sylvania, OH) - The Rochester Christian women's soccer team headed just south of the Ohio-Michigan border to Sylvania, Ohio to face off against the Lourdes Gray Wolves. Lourdes scored an early first-half goal to earn the 1-0 win. With the loss, RCU moves to 5-4-1 overall and 1-1-1 in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) play, ,while Lourdes improves to 5-1-0 overall and 3-0-0 in conference play. 

Despite the Warriors outshooting the Gray Wolves, 4-2 in the first half, Lourdes took the early 1-0 lead in the 11th minute.The Warriors would earn a couple of corner kicks throughout the rest of the half, but were unable to record a goal. 

The second half would see neither side be able to net a goal with the score remaining 1-0. Another couple of corner kicks and shots from Aliana Perez and Jenna Schodowski would not be able to find the back of the net. 

Brooklyn Perron (4-4-1) earned the loss in the match saving four shots, playing the full 90 minutes.
