Women's Soccer drops match to Bethel, 3-1

(Rochester Hills, MI) - The Rochester Christian women's soccer team rounded out its non-conference play on Wednesday afternoon, taking on the Pilots from Bethel (IN). The Pilots used a pair of second-half goals in order to take home a 3-1 win. The Warriors fall to 4-3 overall, while the Pilots improve to 6-1-1.

Brooklyn Perron (3-3-0) played the full 90 minutes in net, making five saves on eight shots on goal.

The two teams played a tight first half with neither team taking full advantage of their possessions. The Pilots struck first in the fifth minute as they were able to get a pass from the wing to give them a one-goal lead.

The Warriors' offense kept building up throughout the next 10 minutes. Following a foul by the Bethel defense, Aliana Perez centered a ball in front of the net, and Olivia Howes headed a goal past the BU goalie.

In the second half, Bethel took advantage of their possession in the 53rd minute. The next couple of minutes saw the two teams go back and forth across the field, with no action until the Pilots put their third goal of the game past Brooklyn Perron on a rebound off the crossbar.
