(Rochester Hills, MI) - The Rochester Christian women's soccer team began a four-match homestand on Friday evening as they took on the visiting Saints from Holy Cross College. The Warriors scored a first-half goal to propel them to a 1-0 win. RCU ends the day with a 3-2-0 record, while HC has a 1-4-0.
Rochester Christian and Holy Cross battled throughout the first half, with Holy Cross tallying more shots than the Warriors' offense, 6-3. RCU would be able to net a goal from Olivia Howes in the 18th minute, making it just over the goalie's outstretched arms.
The second half saw both teams get their fair shots on goal, but neither team was able to get a shot past the defending goalie.
Brooklyn Perron (3-2-0) earned her second shutout of the season, making 9 saves in the game.
