(Spring Arbor, MI) - The Rochester Christian Women's Soccer team looked to continue its strong play on Wednesday night when it traveled to #12 Spring Arbor. RCU was able to keep the match close all the way till the end, but ultimately fell 2-0. The Warriors move to 2-2 on the season, while the Cougars are now 2-1-2.
Spring Arbor was able to control the flow of the game from the start, having multiple corner kicks and shots within the first couple of minutes. RCU earned its first shot of the game in the 5th minute. SAU kept the pressure up and was able to get the first score of the game in the 34th minute. Victoria Kebbe tallied a shot shortly after the SAU goal.
The second half saw SAU keep control for the majority of the final 45 minutes. RCU was able to get a solid run together, and the Cougars took advantage of an RCU misplay to record their second goal.
Brooklyn Perron (2-2-0) took the loss in the game, making a career-high 14 saves while holding the Cougars to their two goals.
