(Lansing, MI) - The Rochester Christian Warriors Women's Soccer team continued its season on Wednesday evening with its first road game of 2025. The Warriors traveled up to Lansing, Michigan, to take on the Crusaders from Great Lakes Christian College. The Warriors came into the match with a 0-1-0 record, while the Crusaders were 0-2-0.
A pair of goalies combined for the shutout for RCU. Brooklyn Perron earned her first collegiate win in goal, playing 70 minutes and making two saves. Mackenzie Fournier played the final 20 minutes and made one save.
The Warriors were able to dominate the game right from the first whistle, with the first goal coming from Olivia Howes in the 9th minute of the game. Another two quick goals from RCU, off the feet of Mya Freeland and Olivia Howes (with an assist from Jenna Schodowski) gave the Warriors a 3-0 lead going into the half.
Three more goals in the second half would see the Warriors hold onto a 6-0 victory. The first pair of goals of the half came off the foot of Aliana Perez and Ava Davis, both on assists from Kennedy Fraser. The final goal of the game was scored by Noelle Preast around the 77th minute.
