WARRIORS FALL TO BETHEL ON THE ROAD
MISHAWAKA, Ind. - The Warriors couldn't get the offense moving against the Bethel Pilots on Wednesday, falling 18-1 after four quarters of play. After a dominant first quarter by the Pilots, the Warriors weren't able to regain much ground until the final quarter, when Liliana Tasich put in a goal early in the period.
THE RUNDOWN
Ground balls proved to be the difference in the contest, with Bethel picking up 28 in the first half compared to three by RCU. In the second quarter, the Warriors got two shots on goal, but couldn't connect after both were saved. Despite the issues on the ground, RCU could take care of the ball when they possessed it, turning it over nine times to Bethel's 13.
Free position shots didn't come the Warriors' way often in this one, with just one attempt compared to the Pilots' two. Tasich's goal came in transition thanks to a turnover caused by fellow captain Jessica Cadman, which put RCU in an advantageous position offensively.
