GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Freshman Gracie Phelps earned her first career goal in the Warriors' 19-1 loss to #RV Aquinas on March 30, scoring unassisted in the third quarter. The Warriors had eight shots at goal during the contest but couldn't counter the scoring from the Saints to bring the game closer.
The Warriors were out-shot 39-8 while losing 25 turnovers. However, the Warriors made sure to limit the damage in the turnover battle, forcing the Saints into 16 miscues. Goalkeeper Lauren Gangwer saved 12 shots during the game, playing the full 60 minutes. Phelps' goal came after a picked-up ground ball, with the freshman taking the ball downfield for the score.
