Women's Golf closes out September at the WHAC Fall Preview
(Augusta, MI) - The Rochester Christian women's golf team headed out to the Stonehedge Golf Club in Augusta, Michigan, over the past two days to compete at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Fall Preview. The event featured 12 teams and 62 golfers taking part in 3 rounds of golf over the two days.
RCU SCORES
RCU placed 12th at the two-day event, scoring 431-430-428 for the rounds, with a total score of 1,289.
Kayce Maitland led the team with a total score of 301, with a low of 95 in the third round. Anna Ferguson was the next lowest at 327, scoring a low of 107 in round 2.
Jessica Cadman and Brooke Cicero each scored a 339 for the tournament. Cadman recorded a low of 105, while Cicero scored a 107.
Mackenzie Murdock completed in the first two rounds of the event, scoring a 103 and 114 for a total score of 217.
REST OF FIELD PERFORMANCES
Lawrence Tech would sweep the team and individual top spots, with the team scoring a 307-309-293 for a total three-round score of 909. Alix Schickele earned the top individual spot with a three-round score of 222, scoring a 74 in each of the rounds.
UP NEXT
The Warriors will next compete on October 7 when they travel to the Moose Ridge Golf Course in South Lyon, Michigan, for the second Cleary Fall Invitational.
