Nieman named WHAC Bowler of the Week for first career honor

(Rochester Hills, MI) - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its weekly women's bowling Bowler of the Week for the week of January 12-18. Kenzi Nieman earns the award this week following her fifth-place finish at the Midwest Collegiate Classic.

Nieman, a junior from Armada, Michigan, earned one of the top spots at the tier-1 bowling event this past weekend. Nieman bowled a program record of 1,070 pins for a five-game series at the event and also hit a high game of 231. Nieman would also aid the Warriors to a 16th-place finish for the tournament and helped in setting the new program high for a five-game team series average at 927.0 pins.

Nieman joins teammates Sara Ritchie (3x Bowler of the Week) and Sage Malott (1x) as Warriors who have earned WHAC Bowler of the Week honors this season.

The Warriors will get back on the lanes on Saturday, January 24, as they take on the final WHAC tournament of the regular season at the Thunderbowl Lanes in Allen Park, Michigan.
