Women's Bowling earns third place finish at the BGSU Falcon Classic

(Monroe, MI) - The Rochester Christian women's bowling team headed to Monroe, Michigan, for the BGSU Falcon Classic at the Monroe Sports Center. The event featured 15 team games, followed by 16 baker games. 

 

RCU as a team finished in third place with an overall pinfall of 5,547, scoring 2,938 pins in the team games with 2,609 pins in the baker games. 

 

The Warriors' team series average of 979.33 is the highest mark in program history for a three-game series. 

 

RCU SCORES

Leading off for the Warriors was Sara Ritchie, tying her program high mark for a three-game series. Ritchie's mark of 664 was good for a second-place finish for the event, while recording a high game of 236. Next in seventh place was Molly Crouch, knocking down 629 pins on the day and earning a 223 high game and the third-highest mark in program history. 

 

Just outside the top-10 was Riley Brownrigg with a score of 602 and a high game of 212. Jazmin Brant was the final RCU bowler to bowl all three games, recording a 566 and a 213 high game. 

 

Kenzie Nieman, Nataleigh Eagle, and Sage Malott rounded out the scoring, each bowling one game with scores of 178, 160, and 139, respectively. 

 

RCU JV SCORES

The Warriors saw four bowlers place within the top-10 for the event, recording a total score of 5,318 with 2,523 pins coming from the 16 baker games and 2,795 pins from the team games. The Warriors placed second in the JV division. 

 

3rd - Zoie Brandt - 617 - 209 - 3 Games - 6th highest mark in program history

4th - Anna Dosenberger - 604 - 211 - 3 Games - 9th highest mark in program history

5th - Victoria McGeorge - 569 - 198 - 3 Games

9th - Hannah Traczynski - 533 - 222 - 3 Games

37th - Sarah Temple - 323 - 165 - 2 Games

40th - Charlotte Schultz - 149 - 149 - 1 Game

 

REST OF FIELD PERFORMANCES

Kayla Tafanelli from Spring Arbor University earned the top individual spot, beating out Sara Ritchie by 118 pins with 782, including a 300 game. 

 

The Cougars would also earn the team win as they totaled 5,987 pins throughout the team and baker games.

RCU will be back on the lanes for the third WHAC event of the season on December 6 at the Five Star Lanes in Sterling Heights, Michigan.
