Malott earns first career WHAC Bowler of the Week honor
(Rochester Hills, MI) - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its weekly Players of the Week for November 3-9, and Rochester Christian's women's bowler Sage Malott has earned this week's honors for aiding the team to a first-place finish at the Warrior Classic.
Malott, a freshman from Vandalia, Ohio, earns her first career WHAC honor with a breakout weekend at the Warrior Classic. Malott took home the top individual spot at the tournament, winning by 80 pins over her RCU teammate. Malott averaged 242.25 pins throughout her four games, scoring a total of 969 pins and recording a high game of 264.
Malott set both an individual and a team record over the weekend. Malott's four-game score is now the top mark in program history for a four-game series, while also helping set the team series average record, which is now at 1020.75.
Malott joins Sara Ritchie as a member of the RCU women's bowling team to be honored as a WHAC Player of the Week this season.
The bowling team will next hit the lanes on November 22nd when they head to Monroe, Michigan, for the BGSU Falcon Classic.
