Women's Bowling and Sage Malott take first at the Warrior Classic
(Flint, MI) - The Rochester Christian women's bowling team hosted the Warrior Classic on Saturday. The event featured teams bowling in four team games, followed by 12 baker games.
The Warriors dominated on the lanes today, earning first-place in both the varsity section as well as the JV section.
The Warriors took the top spot of the 10 teams, scoring 6,212 pins, over 500 pins better than second-place Lourdes. Through the team games, RCU shot a score of 4,083 pins, before totaling 2,129 pins in the baker games.
The team series average of 1020.75 is the highest mark in program history for a four-game series.
RCU SCORES
Sage Malott took the top individual spot, while setting a program record with a score of 969. Malott finished the four games with an average of 242.25, while recording a 264 high game. Finishing right behind Malott was Sara Ritchie who earned second place. Ritchie scored an 889 for the four games and totaled a 257 high game.
The third top-10 finisher for RCU was Nataleigh Eagle who placed 10th. Eagle recorded a score of 777 with a 200 high game. Kenzie Nieman and Riley Brownrigg each bowled in three games for RCU. Nieman scored a 554 and a 220 high game, while Brownrigg totaled a 505 and a 204 high game.
Molly Crouch rounded out the scoring for RCU, with a 389 in her pair of games and scoring a 221 high game.

As a team, the Warriors finished in first-place, scoring a total of 5,679 pins, with 3,595 pins coming in the team games and 2,084 coming from the baker games.
