Women's Bowling finishes in 6th at the Great Lakes Open

(Clinton Township, MI) - The Rochester Christian women's bowling team headed to the second Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) tournament of the season. The event featured the teams bowling in three team games, followed by four baker sets.

 

RCU totaled 2,661 pins throughout the team games, while scoring 2,584 pins in the baker set, to total 5,245. As a team the Warriors finished in 6th place. 

 

The team series average of 831.67 is the sixth-highest mark in program history for a three-games series. 

 

RCU SCORES

The top Warrior for the day was Riley Brownrigg, placing 16th throughout the team games. Brownrigg totaled 540 pins with a 201 high game. Next up in 19th-place was Sara Ritchie who scored 526 pins, with a 197 high game. The only other Warrior to bowl in all three games was Kenzi Nieman, who had a high game of 182 and scored 486 total pins. 

 

Nataleigh Eagle and Molly Crouch finished back-to-back with 331 and 321 pins, respectively. Eagle recorded a high score of 170, while Crouch's was 165. The final two bowlers for the team games were Emerson Rietsch and Sage Malott. Rietsch score a 150, while Malott totaled 141 pins. 

 

RCU JV SCORES

In the JV portion of the tournament, RCU finished in 3rd place, totaling 4,822 pins. They recorded 2,206 in the team games, before totaling 2,616 in the baker sets.

REST OF FIELD PERFORMANCES

Brooke Binder from Aquinas earned the individual tournament win with a score of 623, narrowly beating out second-place by one pin. 

 

Indiana Tech earned the top team spot for the tournament, scoring 5,511 pins, six pins better than second-place Lawrence Tech. 

 

UP NEXT

The Warriors will be back in action next weekend, when they host the Warrior Classic at the Richfield Lanes in Flint, Michigan on November 8.
