Women's Bowling finishes 4th at the first American Heartland Tournament
(Canton, MI) - The Rochester Christian women's bowling team headed down the road to the SuperBowl in Canton, Michigan, for the first American Heartland Bowling Tournament of the season. The event saw the Warriors bowling six team games for the tournament.
The team finished the day with a score of 5327 throughout the six games. The team series average of 887.83 is the fifth-highest mark in program history.
Sara Ritchie and Sara Temple's scores are ninth and tenth, respectively, in the program's six-game series records.
RCU SCORES
Riley Brownrigg led RCU, placing eighth for the tournament, scoring 1,131 pins for the tournament, and a high game of 216. Not far behind Brownrigg was Sara Ritchie, who scored 1,117 pins while tallying a high game of 235.
Nataleigh Eagle bowled in five of the six games for RCU, scoring 911 pins, averaging 182.2 pins per game, and recording a high game of 195. Next up was Molly Crouch with an average of 184.25 over her four games bowled. Crouch totaled 737 pins and scored a high game of 204. The other bowler with four games was Sage Malott, who totaled 629 pins and a high game of 169.
The final two bowlers were Kenzi Nieman and Emerson Rietsch. Nieman finished the day with 509 pins over her three games, while Rietsch totaled 293 pins in her pair of games.

The Warriors as a team finished with a score of 4,975 and in second place for the JV event.

Grace Polega from Cleary earned the top honors at the event with a score of 1,196. Polega had a 240 high game while averaging 199.33.
Lawrence Tech earned the top team spot with a score of 5,439, beating second place by 40 pins.
