Women's Bowling places second at the C300 Western Shootout

(Indianapolis, IN) - The Rochester Christian women's bowling team headed down to Indiana to compete at the Columbia 300 Western Shootout at the Western Lanes. The event featured 29 teams bowling in 30-team games, followed by 16 baker games. 

 

The Warriors as a team finished in second place among the 29 teams at the event. Throughout the team games, RCU totaled 5,699 pins and 3,064 pins during the baker games for a total pinfall of 8,763 pins. 

 

RCU SCORES

Sara Ritchie was the top RCU bowler, placing second throughout the team games. Ritchie totaled a score of 1,329, which is the second-highest mark in program history for a six-game series, and recorded a 246 high game. Molly Crouch was the only other RCU bowler to bowl in all six games. Crouch recorded a score of 1,057, while making a high game of 200. 

 

Riley Brownrigg was next up for the Warriors, hitting 948 pins over the five games bowled with a 232 game high. Kenzie Nieman took part in four games, tallying a 792 and a high game of 246. Sage Malott and Nataleigh Eagle both bowled three games with scores of 562 and 511, respectively, while earning high games of 204 and 179. 

 

Jazmin Brant and Emerson Rietsch were the final two bowlers, bowling in two and one games, respectively. Brant scored a 329 and a 165 high game, while Rietsch tallied a 168 in her sole game. 

 

REST OF THE FIELD

Lindenwood University narrowly took first place at the event, scoring 8,764 pins, edging out RCu by one pin. 

 

Bricey Caudill from Tennessee Wesleyan was the top individual throughout the team games. Caudill finished the event with a score of 1,331, beating out RCU's Sara Ritchie by two pins.

The Warriors will next hit the lanes on October 25 and 26 at the first and second American Heartland Tournaments at the SuperBowl in Canton, Michigan.
