Women's Bowling opens its 2025-26 season at the Jackson Open
(Jackson, MI) - The Rochester Christian women's bowling team began its 2025-26 season at the Jackson Open which is the first Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) event. The event, held at the Jax 60, featured 12 teams bowling 15 team games, before bowling 16 baker games.
The Warriors earned 13 points in the WHAC standings after placing fifth with a total of 5,490 pins. Throughout the 15 team games, RCU knocked down 2,557 pins, before totaling 2,933 pins in the baker sets.
RCU VARSITY SCORES
Nataleigh Eagle was the top Warrior on the day, scoring 541 pins with a 203 high game. Next up was Sara Ritchie, who recorded 522 pins with a 196 high game.
Molly Crouch, Kenzie Nieman, Riley Brownrigg, and Sage Malott all bowled two games for the Warriors. Crouch led the group scoring a 446 with a pair of 223 games. Nieman (189 high game) and Brownrigg (165) were next with scores of 331 and 306, respectively, while Malott totaled a 276 and a 140 high game.
Jazmin Brant closed out the scoring for the Warriors with a 135 in her sole game.
RCU JUNIOR VARSITY SCORES
The team finished in sixth place for the JV portion of the event, totaling 4,779 pins. RCU hit a total of 2,278 pins throughout the team games, while hitting 2,501 in the baker games.

REST OF FIELD PERFORMANCES
Spring Arbor took home the top team spot for the tournament after hitting 5,700 pins. Indiana Tech though would earned the top WHAC spot earning 23 points after hitting 5,583 pins.
Kayla Tafanelli from Spring Arbor was the top individual at the tournament with a total score of 664.

The Warriors will be back in action on October 4th when they head to the Midwest Collegiate Championships at the Five Star Lanes in Sterling Heights, Michigan.
