In a vote by Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference sports information directors on Monday afternoon, RCU forward Ashley Loon has won the WHAC Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week award. Loon wins the award fresh off a 24-point performance in a Warrior victory over #RV Northwestern Ohio.
LIVONIA, Mich. - In a vote by Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference sports information directors on Monday afternoon, RCU forward Ashley Loon has won the WHAC Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week award. Loon wins the award fresh off a 24-point performance in a Warrior victory over #RV Northwestern Ohio.
Loon averaged 18 points per contest during the week, hitting five three-pointers in the UNOH contest. Loon was pivotal in the Warriors' third-quarter push, scoring 13 points on a 4-6 performance from three. For Loon, this is her second career WHAC Player of the Week Award, last taking home the Defensive Player of the Week award on Dec. 16.
The Warriors return to action on Wednesday, Jan. 8, facing the Michigan-Dearborn Wolverines in Garth Pleasant Arena.
