WARRIORS SEEK IMPORTANT WIN AGAINST UNOH
ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. - With the WHAC season winding down, Rochester (13-12, 10-9) will aim for a big win against the Northwestern Ohio Racers (10-15, 6-13) to get one step closer to securing a top-four seed in the WHAC Tournament.
THREE KEY THINGS
CLASH OF THE SCORERS
It'll be a rematch of one of the most exciting scoring matchups in the WHAC this season - Rochester's Celeste Mershimer and UNOH's Alysia Lawson. The two combined for 72 points in the last matchup between these teams in what was a thriller in The Garage. The Warriors will try to avenge an 88-78 loss in that contest, and fans will be treated to two of the conference's best scorers.
PACKED PAINT
The Racers bring in Lawson and the WHAC's leading rebounder Alayha Allen. Allen has had a dominant season on the interior, with nine games of 12 rebounds or more.
WARRIORS PUSH THE PACE
Rochester has found a lot of success this season when pressuring the ball and running the floor, and it'll likely be a big point of emphasis in this upcoming matchup. The last time these two teams faced off, the pace was breakneck, with neither team allowing the other to catch their breath. Rochester will look to get the upper hand in transition.
SPORTS INFORMATION SPOTLIGHT
Mershimer sits at the top of the conference in efficiency metrics, now ranking fourth in free throw percentage (77.8%)
AROUND THE CONFERENCE
Rochester sits tied in fourth place with Cornerstone at 10-9, with a matchup looming in the final WHAC regular season day. #21 Indiana Tech is just two games away from clinching the WHAC Regular Season Championship, undefeated and two games ahead of Siena Heights. Lawrence Tech is hot on the trail, behind the Warriors and Golden Eagles by a game.
