THREE KEY THINGS
MERSHIMER LOOKS TO CONTINUE 20+ POINT STREAK
It's now been three consecutive games since guard Celeste Mershimer has scored 20 points or more, beginning with her program record tieing 37 points against the Northwestern Ohio Racers on Jan. 17. Mershimer has been on a mission since, scoring 20+ points and leading the team in assists in all games leading up to this one.
ROCHESTER SEEKS CONSECUTIVE WINS
Since the turn of the new year, Rochester has yet to get consecutive wins, with the last winning streak for the Warriors occurring in December of 2023. Rochester won three straight games in that streak, capped off by the Dec. 9 win against the Wolverines.
BARAKAT CONTINUES TO BE INTERIOR THREAT
The Wolverines' Maya Barakat has consistently been the top rebounder in the conference since the start of the 2023-24 season and is coming off a major 24-16 performance against the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils. It will be essential for the Warriors to box out and prevent her from having another great performance.
SPORTS INFORMATION SPOTLIGHT
Before Mershimer's current streak, the last time a Warrior had 20+ in three consecutive games was guard Elysia Mattos in the 2021-22 season, where Mattos completed the feat in postseason play (Feb. 25 - March 11).
