SOMERS EARNS WHAC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Freshman forward Jacey Somers earned her first Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference Player of the Week award on Monday, Nov. 6, being recognized for her performances during the prior week. Somers, who has had an impressive season so far, secured the award after averaging 18.3 points and 5.7 rebounds a game across three games, all wins for Rochester. That includes a 19 PTS 9 REB outing against #5 Marian. 

In her two games over the weekend, Somers continued showing impressive scoring prowess, putting up 36 points across the two games on very high-efficiency totals. Somers shot 53% from the three-point line during the week and shot 57% from the field.
