Softball see's pair of Warriors honored with WHAC honors
(Rochester Hills, MI) - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its yearly postseason awards for softball, and a pair of RCU Warriors were honored.
WHAC SECOND TEAM
JAYA FORTI | SR | IMLAY CITY, MICHIGAN
Jaya Forti earns the first Second Team All-Conference honor of her RCU career after tallying a team-high 44 hits as the team's leadoff hitter. Forti's ranks in the WHAC this season were 3rd in stolen bases (23), 7th in runs scored (33), 10th in on-base percentage (.463), and 13th in batting average (.383). Forti is the program's second-ever All-Conference honoree.
WHAC CHAMPIONS OF CHARACTER TEAM
EMMA CRONKRIGHT | SR | BURTON, MICHIGAN
Emma Cronkright was recognized as the team's WHAC Champion of Character. The senior was honored for her commitment to the five core values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.
WHAC ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
The WHAC announced its All-Academic teams, which include sophomores and above in Academic standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.25. The eight Warriors honored were Emma Cronkright, Jaya Forti, Chloe Gildea, Ella Hayes, Amber Lamphier, Kaylie Rickert, Brooklyn Ross, and Kaitlyn Witkowski.
