Men's Cross Country closes out WHAC season at the WHAC Championships

(Adrian, MI) - The Rochester Christian men's cross country team competed on Friday afternoon at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Championship at Siena Heights. The Warriors finished the 8km race in seventh place, totaling 221 points. The team recorded a time of 2:24:46. 

The WHAC also released its Champions of Character awards as well as the WHAC All-Academic Team on Friday.

56th - Eli Hullinger - 27:51.0

78th - Reece Welch - 29:01.3

98th - Nathan Lawe - 30:26.7

100th - Chad Kocsis - 30:34.5

REST OF FIELD PERFORMANCES

Cornerstone took home the top team spot for the event, totaling 41 points, placing three runners in the top-5. They tallied a team time of 2:07:15. 

Mehdi Nait Hamoud from Madonna University was the top runner for the event, finishing with a time of 24:49.7. 

CHAMPIONS OF CHARACTER

Eli Hullinger was recognized as the team's WHAC Champion of Character. The junior was honored for his commitment to the five core values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.

WHAC ALL-ACADEMIC

The WHAC announced its All-Academic teams, which include sophomores and above in Academic standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.25. The 3 Warriors honored were Eli Hullinger, Chad Kocsis, and Reece Welch.
