Heat Makes Big Impact At GRCC Meet

The Men's and Women's Cross Country teams traveled to Grand Rapids and Riverside Park for their second meet of the season. The men's 8k race began first with Dominic Santina the first Warrior to cross the finish line. The men would finish in the following order:

Dominic Santina (SR/Boyne City, MI) ( Senior/Boyne City, MI) - 28:01 - 36th

Cameron Bitzer (SR/Monroe, MI) ( Senior/ Monroe, MI) - 33:23 - 147th

Josh Phipps ( Junior/ Lake Orion, MI) - 42:18 - 189th

The women's team would race next with Ally Slone as the top finisher for the Warriors. The Warriors' top finishers were:

Ally Slone ( Junior/ Macomb, MI) - 21:08 - 52nd

Amanda Lebel ( Sophomore / Rochester Hills, MI) - 25:38 - 137th

Isabelle Dietz ( Senior / Bloomfield Hills, MI) - 27:35 - 149th

Lauren Hope ( Junior / Rochester, MI) - 42:31 - 178th

The Cross Country teams will take the next week off before preparing for their next meet. The teams will travel to Lansing on October 4th for a meet hosted by Lansing Community College.
