Men's Wrestling see's success at Whizzer Open
(Dearborn, MI) - The Rochester Christian men's wrestling team took to the mat on Sunday at the Whizzer Open on the campus of Henry Ford College. The team saw solid success with five wrestlers placing within the top four at the event, with the team having a combined record of 20-10.
Jacob Gonzales and Dylan Coleman both earned top spots in their respective weight classes, with Gonzales in the 184 class and Coleman in the 141 class. Both wrestlers earned a 4-0 record, with Gonzales earning wins from a pair of tech falls and a fall, while Coleman had two falls, a tech fall, and a decision.
Earning third-place finishes were Sawyer Kuenzer (285 class) and Stanley Anderson (133 class). Kuenzer would earn a 4-1 record for the event with two fall wins, a tech fall, and a major decision. Anderson wrestled his way to a 1-1 record with a tech fall win.
Sebastian Prisbe was the final placer for the Warriors, earning a fourth-place finish. Prisbe earned a 4-2 record, including a fall, tech fall, and a decision.

The Warriors will head down to Georgetown, Kentucky, for a tri-match against Georgetown College and Midway University on Tuesday, February 3.
