Men's Wrestling earns win against #RV Cornerstone at the WHAC Super Duals
(Defiance, OH) - The Rochester Christian men's wrestling team headed to Ohio for the WHAC Super Duels at Defiance College on Saturday. The Warriors would earn a dual win against #RV Cornerstone in the first round before falling to #15 Marian, #4 Indiana Tech, and #RV Lourdes in the next three rounds.
"The event, which features all eight wrestling programs, will feature five total rounds and 17 total duals. The format, which allows the conference to converge upon one location and complete a majority of its regular season schedule, is new this season." - From WHAC release on 11/20/2025

#RV Cornerstone vs. #RV Rochester Christian
Against Cornerstone, the Warriors earned wins in six of the matches, including a pair of upsets over ranked wrestlers. Mario Orueta III picked up a decision win over #24 Thomas Zielinski, while Nicholas Meli took down #19 Teveion Etchen with a 3-1 decision. #12 Nickolas Alayan earned the Warriors' sole Fall win, pinning the Golden Eagle in 54 seconds. RCU earned a 22-18 win over Cornerstone in the match.
