Men's Wrestling competes at the Trine Invite

(Angola, IN) - The Rochester Christian men's wrestling team continued its season at the Trine Invite on Saturday. Two Warriors placed in the top-6 in their weight class, while the team overall had a 16-27 record for the event. 

Leading the Warriors was David VanDaele who earned a 4th-place finish, tallying a 4-2 record. VanDaele won three matches by decision, with scores of 10-4, 8-6, and 10-9. 

Also earning points was Christian Rojas. Rojas finished in sixth-place after earning a 2-3 record. Rojas won his first two matches, both by decisions with scores of 8-4 and 2-1. 

Julian Rojas led the rest of the group with a 3-2 record, while Marcus Abdal, Stanley Anderson, and Mario Orueta III each had two wins.

The Warriors will return home for their first home duel against Henry Ford College on Thursday, November 13. The match will begin at 7 PM.
