WARRIORS THRIVE IN ALBION OPEN; ADAM POLK EARNS FIRST CAREER CHAMPIONSHIP

ALBION, Mich. - The Warriors showed out in the Albion Invitational on Nov. 17, highlighted by a championship finish by freshman Adam Polk for the first championship of his career. Three other Warriors - Julius Polk, Cristian Rojas, and Hunter Thomson - earned placements in the tournament.
Adam Polk was dominant in the 149-lb division, winning all of his matches by no less than a major decision in the bracket. The Pontiac native won his first three matches by no less than eight points before defeating Southwestern Michigan's Bryce Brust by fall with little time to spare. The tournament performance caps off a 5-0 week for the freshman, who took a victory in RCU's dual with #20 Cornerstone on Wednesday.
The older brother of the champion was also highly successful in the tournament, earning a third place finish with a 4-1 record on the day. Julius Polk recovered well from his loss in the 174-lb division semifinal with two consecutive victories, including a 4-0 decision to secure third place in the bracket. Rojas starred after his second-round loss with three strong victories, including a win by technical fall and a fall on the way to the third-place match, where the sophomore won by decision.
