Men's Volleyball falls in four to Maple Leafs on Senior Day
(Rochester Hills, MI) - The Rochester Christian men's volleyball team closed out its home schedule for 2026 against the Goshen Maple Leafs. RCU fought throughout all four sets, scoring 19 points in three of the four sets. The Warriors celebrated their sole senior, Jailen Tatum, prior to the game as well.
The Warriors started the match with a 7-3 run, led by Josh Eaton with four kills, before the two teams began to battle back and forth. Goshen battled back to tie the match at 17 points and then scored eight of the final 10 points.
Jailen Tatum began the second set with a kill as RCU scored the first point of the set. Tatum continued with another point as Josh Eaton got a couple of kills. Goshen was able to grab a 13-11 lead before the Warriors went on an 8-1 run, taking advantage of multiple Maple Leafs errors. Goshen would tie the game at 19 points before RCU finished off the set, scoring six of the final nine points.
Goshen took control of the third set from the first serve, moving out to a 10-3 lead with Josh Eaton earning the first three kills of the set. The Warriors attempted to battle back in the set with an 11-9 run, but RCU closed out the third set with a win.
The Warriors opened the final set of the day with a 7-1 run, with Jailen Tatum and Jeremy Lee earning kills. The RCU offense kept its pace up as it built the lead out to 14-7 before Goshen made a 13-6 run to tie the match at 20 points. Goshen was able to close out the set with a 5-1 run to win the match.

The Warriors will be back in action on Wednesday, April 10, when they travel to take on the Gray Wolves of Lourdes at 7 PM.
