Men's Volleyball opens up five-game homestand with match against Lawrence Tech
(Rochester Hills, MI) - The Rochester Christian men's volleyball team invited the #7 Lawrence Tech Blue Devils to the Garth Pleasant Arena for the first-ever home match in program history. LTU was able to take the lead early on in each set on its way to the 3-0 victory.
After the first two sets went LTU's way, the Warriors rebounded right back with five straight points as Josh Eaton had a pair of kills, while Jailen Tatum and Eaton both had two block assists. The Blue Devils responded right back with their own 10-1 run to take a commanding 12-6 lead in the set. The Warriors would grab points from Jeremy Lee and Nehemiah Rosillo as the Blue Devils closed out the set.
Jeremy Lee got the first point of the second set for the Warriors. LTU grabbed six of the first nine points with both teams getting aid from the opponent's errors. Josh Eaton continued his strong play with a couple of kills before the Blue Devils were able to close out the set.
The final set of the evening saw LTU open with a 10-2 run, with Jeremy Lee earning a kill. Xander Slate, Nehemiah Rosillo, and Jonathan Chow were all able to earn an ace in the set during a 7-2 run by the Warriors. Josh Eaton added a pair of kills before LTU closed out the final set of the evening.
TOP PERFORMERS
Josh Eaton ended the match with nine kills, while Jeremy Lee recorded four. Jonathan Chow tallied 12 assists in the match.
Nehemiah Rosillo and Jeremy Lee both dug out five attacks, while Jailen Tatum and Josh Eaton both had two block assists.
