Men's Track & Field compete at the OU Golden Grizzlies Invite
(Rochester, MI) - The majority of the Rochester Christian men's track & field team returned to action on Saturday at the OU Golden Grizzlies Open. The Warriors saw two personal bests in the meet.
FIELD RESULTS
Michael Reed, Thomas Spires, Jaylon Moore, and Nathan Brewer competed across the field events, with Reed and Spires throwing the shot put, Reed throwing the discus, Reed, Moore, and Brewer tossing the hammer, and Moore throwing the javelin.
In the shot put, Reed finished with a toss of 11.01 meters and in 17th-place. Reed saw the team's highest placement in the discus, earning 7th-place, after a toss of 33.27 meters. In his final event, the hammer throw, Reed finished 19th after a toss of 33.14 meters.
Thomas Spires competed in the shot put and had a toss of 7.20 meters.
Jaylon Moore's toss in the hammer throw was a personal best with a throw of 30.07 meters. Moore would then place 14th in the javelin throw.
Nathan Brewer would compete in the hammer throw as well.
TRACK RESULTS
The track results saw Ethan Dinanath compete in the 100-meter dash, Wyatt Emmons and Eli Hullinger run in the 1,500-meter run, and Cameron Stermer, Reece Welch, and Chad Kocsis run in the 5K.
Ethan Dinanath finished in 18th-place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.55 seconds.
In the 1,500-meter run, Wyatt Emmons finished in 17th-place with a time of 4:19.22, while Eli Hullinger finished in 23rd with a time of 4:27.05.
The final running event for the Warriors had Cameron Stermer finish in 12th-place with a time of 5:15.60, Reece Welch in 23rd with a time of 17:01.28, and Chad Kocsis running a personal best time of 18:18.51.

The Warriors will be back in action on Friday and Saturday, April 13 and 14th when they head to the Bill Bippes Cougar Classic at Spring Arbor University.
