Men's Track & Field see's Holt & Josef hit NAIA Qualifying marks
(Allendale, MI) - The Rochester Christian men's track & Field team headed to Grand Valley State University for the Mike Lints Alumni Meet. The event featured 23 different teams from both the NCAA and NAIA divisions.
The Warriors saw three student-athletes reach top-10 finishes with five different Warriors hitting personal best marks.
TRACK PERFORMANCES
Ethan Dinanath and Ethan Eisenhauer both took part in the 400-meter run, earning times of 52.22 and 54.90, respectively.
Reese Welch ran in both the 800-meter and the mile. In the 800-meter, Welch ran a personal best time of 2:10.60 and ran a 4:56.43 in the mile.
Wyatt Emmons ran the mile with a time of 4:42.98.
Chad Kocsis ran a personal best time in the 3,000-meter with a time of 10:15.29.
Cameron Stermer competed in the 5,000-meter and ended with a time of 15:34.03.
FIELD PERFORMANCES
Julian Holt and Hayden Josef led the field performances placing first and second in the high jump event, both hitting the 2.04 meter marks. That is a personal best for both of the jumpers as they also hit NAIA "B" Standards for the NAIA Championships next month.
Michael Reed and Thomas Spires both threw in the shot put event. Reed had a toss of 11.11 meters, while Spires set a personal best with a throw of 6.99 meters.
Nathan Brewer, Michael Reed, and Jaylon Moore would all compete in the weight throw. They had throws of 12.48, 10.57, and 9.09 meters, respectively.

The Warriors will now have a week off before heading to the WHAC Championships at February 20-21 at Aquinas College.
