Men's Track & Field competes at the SVSU Classic to begin 2026
(Saginaw, MI) - The Rochester Christian men's track & field team returned to competition in 2026 as they headed up to Saginaw Valley for the SVSU Classic. The team earned one first place finish and three top-10 finishes, while setting 4 personal best times/marks.
TRACK EVENTS
Four different Warriors competed in three events (60 Meter dash, Mile, and the 3,00 Meter run) at the classic.
Ethan Dinanath and Ethan Eisenhauer both ran in the 60 meter dash and placed 17th and 36th, respectively. Dinanath finished with a time of 7.21 seconds (personal best), while Eisenhauer came in at 7.77 seconds.
In the mile run, Eli Hullinger totaled a time of 4:37.65, and earning a 29th-place finish.
In the 3,000-meter run, Cameron Stermer set a personal best time of 9:06.95 while placing ninth in the event.
FIELD EVENTS
The field events had six different Warriors taking part over three different events in the high jump, shot put and weight throw.
The high jump featured the Warriors highest two finishers in Hayden Josef and Julian Holt, placing first and third, respectively. Josef earned his mark, tying his personal best, by hitting the 1.99 meter height on his second jump. Holt finished in third place as he eclipsed the 1.89 meter height.
Michael Reed, Jaylon Moore, and Thomas Spires competed in the shot put event. Reed was the top-finisher of the trio, with an 18th-place finish, with a mark of 10.91 meters, while Moore and Spires finished with marks of 9.72 meters and 6.75 meters, respectively.
Nathan Brewer, Michael Reed, and Jaylon Moore would throw in the weight throw event. Brewer finished with a mark of 12.24 meters and ended up in 12th place. Reed and Moore would both earn personal best's in the event as they hit marks of 11.57 meters, and 10.83 meters, respectively.

The Warriors will next be back on the track at the Jeremy Croy Classic, hosted by Tiffin University, on Saturday, January 24.
