Men's Track & Field begins Indoor Season at SVSU Holiday Open

(Saginaw, MI) - The Rochester Christian men's track & field competed in its first event of the 2025-26 indoor season at the SVSU Holiday Open. Multiple Warriors saw their season debut at the event. 

 

TRACK EVENTS

Multiple Warriors competed in four different events at the meet, including the 60-meter dash, 200-meter dash, 400-meter dash, and the 5,000-meter run. 

 

Starting off in the 60-meter dash was Ethan Dinanath and Ethan Eisenhauer with times of 7.22 seconds (RCU personal best) and 7.64 seconds (RCU personal best) respectively. 

 

Next in the 200-meter dash were Ethan Dinanath, Julian Holt, and Hayden Josef. Dinanath led the trio with a time of 23.02 seconds, while Holt and Josef finished with times of 24.04 seconds (RCU personal best) and 25.19 seconds (RCU personal best). 

 

The 400-meter race saw Ethan Eisenhauer compete and total a time of 54.88 seconds. 

 

The final track event had Cameron Stermer race in the 5,000-meter and finished with a time of 15:41.19.

 

FIELD EVENTS

The field events were highlighted by a pair of high jumpers placing within the top-10 for the event, with Hayden Josef earning a fourth-place finish in his RCU debut with a jump of 1.99 meters. Julian Holt placed eighth in the high jump, hitting the 1.89 meters height

 

Five different Warriors competed in the shot put, with Michael Reed, Durell Kline, Nathan Brewer, Jaylon Moore, and Thomas Spires all taking part. Reed led the group with a toss of 10.94 meters ,with Kline and Brewer not far behind at 10.90 meters and 10.83 meters (RCU personal best), respectively. Moore and Spires rounded out the group with tosses of 9.07 meters and 6.95 meters (RCU personal best), respectively. 

 

In the weight throw, Nathan Brew, Jaylon Moore, and Durell Kline all took part, with Brewer leading the group at 12.27 meters (RCU personal best), while Moore and Kline posted marks of 9.84 meters (RCU personal best) and 8.06 meters, respectively.

The Warriors will be back in action at the SVSU Classic on January 16.
