Julian Holt and Alec Shaw will begin competing in the NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships at Dakota State University on Friday, March 1. The pair seek their first NAIA All-American selections after highly successful regular seasons.
It was a monumental weekend for junior Alec Shaw and the Warriors at the 2024 WHAC Indoor Track & Field Championships, with Shaw winning individual WHAC Championships in the Men's 1 Mile and 800m events, setting the conference record for the mile event.
In the final two events of the Indoor Track & Field season, the Warriors had a successful home stretch ahead of the upcoming 2024 WHAC Championships in Grand Rapids. Junior Alec Shaw and sophomore Julian Holt earned national qualifier bids, with Holt setting the Men’s High Jump record at 2.03 meters to qualify at the Tiffin Invitational.
Sophomore Julian Holt headlined a productive weekend for the Warriors on Jan. 27 at the Saginaw Valley State Jet’s Pizza Invitational, finishing first in the Men’s High Jump event with a 1.98m finish. During the event, the Warriors achieved three top-three finishes and saw 27 career-bests set.
