Men's Soccer drops contest at Aquinas

(Grand Rapids, MI) - The Rochester Christian men's soccer team began its final week of the regular season on Wednesday evening, traveling to the west side of Michigan for a matchup against the Saints from Aquinas. The Saints struck early in the match en route to a 5-0 victory. 

 

RCU falls to 1-12-3 overall and 0-7-3 in conference play, while the Saints improve to 4-7-3 overall and 3-5-2 in conference play. 

 

Kris Tauzik (1-12-3) made two saves on the seven shots he faced throughout his 90 minutes in net. 

 

The Saints started their scoring early as they grabbed goals in the 4th, 21st, and 40th minutes of the first half to take a 3-0 advantage. The Warriors were able to put three shots up in the half, with Milos Stojakovic getting one on frame. 

 

The second 45 minutes saw Aquinas grab another two goals in the 59th and the 87th minutes of the match. Shadrack Onyango had a shot on goal in the half. 

 

UP NEXT

The Warriors will close out their season on Saturday, October 25, when they head down to Defiance, Ohio, to take on the Yellow Jackets for a 3:30 PM start.
