Men's Soccer draw against #22 UNOH Racers

(Rochester Hills, MI) - The Rochester Christian men's soccer team played its final home game of the 2025 season on Saturday, inviting the 22nd-ranked Racers from Northwestern Ohio to the Michigan Stars Soccer Complex. Both teams recorded a goal in each half as the Warriors forced the draw. RCU moves its season record to 1-11-3 overall and 0-6-3 in WHAC play, while UNOH is 11-3-2 overall and 7-1-1 in conference play. 

 

The Racers controlled possession throughout the first half, outshooting RCU, 14-2. The Warriors were able to capitalize on a counter tallying the first goal of the game off the foot of Milos Stojakovic. The Racers offense was finally able to push a goal through with just under two minutes remaining in the half. 

 

The Racers would once again capitalize on its possession to open up the second half, as they would take the lead on their fifth shot of the half. Gadiel Herrera once again evened the game in the 68th minute after receiving a cross from Jorge Arrondo

 

The two teams would trade possessions throughout the final 22 minutes of play, with neither team able to grab the winning goal. 

 

Kris Tauzik (1-10-3) grabbed the draw, after making 13 saves against the 15 shots he faced.

The Warriors will open the final week of the regular season up against the Saints from Aquinas, traveling to Grand Rapids on Wednesday, October 22 with a 7 PM kickoff.
