(Howell, MI) - The Rochester Christian men's soccer team headed to Howell, Michigan, to take on the Cougars from Cleary University in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) matchup on Saturday afternoon. The Cougars used a trio of first-half goals to grab a crucial three points in the WHAC standings.
RCU falls to 1-11-1 overall and 0-6-1 in conference play, while Cleary moves to 9-5-0 overall and 3-4-0 in WHAC play.
Kris Tauzik (1-10-1) played the full 90 minutes in net for the Warriors, making five saves in the match.
The first half saw Cleary control the pace of play throughout, outshooting the Warriors 11-3. The Cougars grabbed goals in the 17th, 21st, and 38th minutes.
Coming out, the Warriors were able to draw back within two goals off the foot of Nemanja Adamovic, scoring his first goal of the season. The remaining 43 minutes saw Cleary grab four more goals on 12 shots to the Warriors' seven.
