Men's Soccer's ends match with Siena Heights in a 1-1 draw

(Rochester Hills, MI) - The Rochester Christian men's soccer team looked to rebound from its Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) opener with a matchup against the Saints from Siena Heights. The Warriors left today's match with a 1-6-1 record and a 0-1-1 WHAC record, while SHU moves to 2-3-3 and 1-0-1 in WHAC play. 

Siena Heights was able to gain possession throughout the first part of the game, which they used to score a goal in the 8th minute, taking a 1-0 lead. 

Throughout the next 12 minutes, the Warriors' offense would build up, ultimately tying the game up off a shot from Milos Stojakovic, scoring shortly after a RCU corner kick. Neither team was able to take advantage of its possessions throughout the rest of the half. 

The second half started with an SHU penalty kick that went wide left to keep the score tied at 1. Both teams had solid opportunities to take the lead, but neither was able to get anything past the opposing goalie. 

Kris Tauzik (1-6-1) made 11 saves in the game against the 12 shots he faced throughout the 90 minutes.

The Warriors will return to the field on Saturday, September 27, when they travel to Sylvania, Ohio, for a matchup against the Lourdes Gray Wolves, with the game set to start at 7 PM.
