(Rochester Hills, MI) - The Rochester Christian men's soccer team opened up its Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) play against the #12 Indiana Tech Warriors on Saturday afternoon. IIT used an offensive explosion in the first half to start 1-0 in WHAC play. RCU moves to 1-6-0 overall and 0-1-0 in WHAC play, while Indiana Tech improves to 5-2-1 overall and 1-0-0 in conference.
Kris Tauzik (1-6-0) made the start in net for Rochester Christian, making 11 saves on the 21 shots he faced.
Indiana Tech controlled play for most of the first half, scoring three times before the 16th minute. RCU would get a couple of shots off throughout the rest of the first half before IIT would put up five more goals.
Indiana Tech recorded a goal three minutes into the final 45 minutes of play to make it 9-0. 14 minutes later, the final goal of the game would hit the back of the net. RCU recorded a pair of shots in the second half.
